The Nobel Committee Remains Skeptical Of These Claims Of Isolating The ‘Palestinian Leader Who Accepts Jewish Sovereignty’ Particle

Dear Sir:

We appreciate your submission to the Committee the nomination of Professor Kerry for next year’s Nobel Prize for Physics. Unfortunately, we are forced to request more compelling evidence that he has indeed achieved what the nomination letter claims, namely that he has proved the existence of the Palestinian-Leader-Who-Accepts-Jewish-Sovereignty particle. Until such unequivocal evidence comes to light, we on the committee must remain skeptical of that particle’s existence and cannot forward our recommendation of him to the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.

Indeed the discovery of that long-hypothesized and much-touted particle would help solidify a central pillar of the conceptual framework we use to understand our world. Entire foreign policies of governments the world over, just to give an example, rely on the assumption that such a particle’s activity accounts for numerous dynamics in place in the system. Solid evidence of the Palestinian-Leader-Who-Accepts-Jewish-Sovereignty particle would confirm the path that mainstream physicists have followed for the last half-century.

However, a sober look at the evidence to date demonstrates that, contrary to the assertions of its proponents, the Palestinian-Leader-Who-Accepts-Jewish-Sovereignty particle has never been proven to exist, beyond references to other such assertions and the unstated assumptions, without citation, to the same effect. All the tests conducted as of this writing have determined that the very Palestinian leaders the proponents argue fulfill the requirements to prove their hypothesis, actually do no such thing, and have never made any explicit indication that their actions constitute acceptance of Jewish sovereignty. To the contrary, all rhetoric and policies of the most-often cited candidates point toward an at-best-tactical tolerance of  Jewish State only as a stepping-stone to the eventual destruction of that very Jewish State by political, diplomatic, economic, military, and demographic means.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, and unlike our colleagues on the Nobel Peace Prize Committee – which I must emphasize bear no connection to the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences but operate out of Norway – we wait to confirm the merit of the prizes we award before awarding them. Mere repetition of slogans, as rhetorically compelling or prejudice-confirming as they may be, does not meet the threshold of evidence the Royal Academy requires for consideration of the award.

If Professor Kerry or any of his cited sources Peres, Beilin, Obama, Rhodes, Blinken, O’Malley, et al. can produce firm evidence of the Palestinian-Leader-Who-Accepts-Jewish-Sovereignty particle’s existence, we will most assuredly reconsider this decision. The deadline for nominations for next year approahes.

Sincerely,

Mats Larsson
