“The multiple rapes I’ve suffered on my way here with traffickers are probably nothing compared to the rape of Palestine.”
San Antonio, March 22 – Minors detained in over-capacity holding facilities after crossing into the country from Mexico voiced the sentiment this week that at least American progressives and the international community at large have not neglected the world’s real problem, which is the ongoing tragedy of Palestinian Arabs suffering the consequences of successive Arab failures to ethnically cleanse Palestine of sovereign Jews.
Thousands of children from Mexico and Central America remain incarcerated in structures that the Biden administration insists must not be called cages, while a pliant media downplays the increase in the numbers of such detainees since the new administration took office in January, but those children also downplayed their misfortune in patches of conversation with journalists, noting that they are happy to sacrifice their liberty and human rights on the altar of Palestinians getting attention.
“We know what the truly important causes are,” acknowledged Manuel, 15, originally from Honduras, who crossed the border with a smuggler last week and has remained not-caged in his cell far beyond the three-day legal limit for minors. “Sure, I suffer, and my very humanity gets called into question by those who otherwise think of themselves as morally superior to the previous administration, about whom the media and progressives made all sorts of noise on this subject, but let’s be honest: really it’s Palestine that matters. I’m fine with the existence of a caged rat as long as progressives are making noise about how awful Israeli Jews are.”
“There’s a hierarchy, and that’s just the way the world works,” admitted Valentina, 13, from a village outside Veracruz, Mexico. “The multiple rapes I’ve suffered on my way here with traffickers are probably nothing compared to the rape of Palestine by Jews returning to their ancestral homeland and daring to be something other than subject to Islamic rule. The UN Human Rights Council definitely has its priorities straight in that respect, focusing more resolutions against Israel than the rest of the world combined. There’s even a permanent UNHRC agenda item on it! I’m not thrilled by my situation, but I understand there are other, bigger priorities.”
Other not-inmates at the not-prisons sought to discourage radicals from engaging in violence on their behalf. “Don’t debase your human values by becoming a monster for our sake,” admonished Emilio, 11, from Guatemala. “Save that kind of behavior for a cause that the global Left has demonstrated is so important that any atrocity can be tolerated, even endorsed, for its sake: attacking and slandering Jews who defend themselves.”
