Iran Still Hoping To Derail Abraham Accords, Allah’s Will

“One does not simply submit to the will of Allah,” explained Aweedigh, whose entire system means “submission.”

Tehran, February 5 – The leaders of the Islamic Republic remain defiant in the face of recent setbacks, regime representatives insisted today, and they will continue to attempt to thwart both any Israel-Sunni-Muslim détente and what Almighty God has ordained to happen.

Spokesmen for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and various organs of the state of Iran – most notably the organs that form the organizational tentacles of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps – declared again today that not even Allah Himself could stand in the way of what the Islamic Republic has in store for the region and the world.

“Allah’s will be done,” stated Ayhav Aweedigh, a representative of the Grand Council of Shia Imams, a government-controlled group. “The Supreme Leader’s mission has always been to bring Allah’s will to fruition in this world through Islamic revolution. That might mean subverting Allah’s will, if Allah’s will calls for normalization between Sunni regimes and the Zionist Entity. We could not abide such an instantiation of Allah’s will, as we understand it go against what we know of Allah’s will. Therefore, even if Allah wills it, we will against it, and we will not allow it to happen.”

The first Trump administration saw years of behind-the-scenes diplomacy and contacts reach formal fruition in the Abraham Accords, under which the United Arab Emirates became the first Arab state in Jordan in 1994 to establish relations with Israel. The “Al-Aqsa Flood” of October 7, 2023, which massacred 1200 Israelis and kidnapped hundreds more, occurred at the behest of Iran, the leaders which sought to spark a major Palestinian-Israeli war and, they hoped, derail the spread of normalization; reports indicated that Saudi Arabia, which many consider the leader of the Arab Sunni Muslim worlds, stood on the threshold of joining the Accords – a development that Iran, with its existential antipathy to Jewish sovereignty in the ancestral Jewish homeland, cannot countenance, regardless of how much Allah might desire it.

“One does not simply submit to the will of Allah,” explained Imam Aweedigh, whose entire faith and theology revolves around a system whose name means “submission.” When we talk about Islam as promoting submission to Allah, that only means we claim to represent Allah and everyone else must submit to us. The suggestion that we, ourselves, might submit to Allah is ridiculous on its face. That would miss the entire point of our imperialism, proxy wars, terrorism, hegemonic machinations, and thinly-veiled exploitation of human suffering to advance our political ends. Come on.”
