Pangaea’s Islamic status does not necessarily indicate that earlier supercontinents were not also Dar-al-Islam.
Istanbul, January 29 – Geologists and religious scholars have teamed up to analyze some of the religious implications of the dominant scientific explanation for the locations, shapes, and topographical features of the planet’s continent and islands, with specific attention to the realization that the existence of Pangaea until about 200 million years ago transforms every bit of ground on the planet into Dar-al-Islam, since all of it was once of a piece with the sacred realm that Muhammad and his successors established for the glory of Allah.
Faculty at Imprya Liçem University announced today that they had come to an important conclusion about the most recent supercontinent, which existed for approximately 200 million years, according to geological models. The single land mass began to break up about 200 million years ago through convection forces in the Earth’s mantle, the same forces that brought the continent together in the first place. Given the data on Pangaea, as the erstwhile land mass is now called, all of the existing separate continents remain Islamic in character and must be reconquered from the heretical heathens that have asserted control over them in the intervening epochs.
This differs from the previous prevailing view that called for Islamic armies to conquer the heathen lands that had yet to submit to Islam.
“The arrival of the Prophet fourteen centuries ago does not mean that all who, and that, came before him, peace be unto him, could not be Muslims,” explained Professor Oivei Izmir of the Department of Earth Sciences. “Just as Islam claims Moses, David, and Jesus as prophets of the One True Faith, so, too, earlier landforms could be Islamic even if no one seemed to know about it until Muhammad and his followers came along.”
The researchers noted that Pangaea’s Islamic status does not necessarily indicate that earlier supercontinents were not also Dar-al-Islam. “The masses known as Kenorland, Nuna, Rodinia, and Pannotia answer to the same description,” Izmir stated. “Our religious colleagues will have to decide whether Islam accepts a Creation that could have happened billions of years ago, just as it appears unresolved whether Muslims must believe that the sun moves around the Earth as the ancients thought. If they do come so some consensus, then the ideology of Islamic conquest will have robust scientific data.”
“Otherwise,” he concluded, “I’ll be stoned or burned to death as a heretic, but at least I’ll know that I’ve done so in service of Allah and understanding His world.”
