Volume Of Fake Talmud Quotes Cited By Jew-Haters To Exceed Actual Talmud By 2050

They increased exponentially one the Muslim world got involved.

Tel Aviv, March 26 – Researchers projected today that the number of words in passages that antisemites invent but purport to copy from the main corpus of the Jewish Oral Law, to illustrate the ostensible disdain, animus, and ill intentions that Jewish tradition directs at non-Jews, will, sometime before the middle of this century, outnumber the approximately three million words in the actual corpus.

Faculty and doctoral candidates at Tel Aviv University, in collaboration with colleagues at Georgetown University, published a paper this week to the effect that the pace at which antisemites create fake quotes from the Talmud, if maintained, guarantees that by the year 2050, more such lines will exist than the entirety of the Babylonian and Jerusalem Talmuds combined.

Professor Steven Armstrong, one of the lead authors of the paper, explained in an interview that until recent years, the number of fake Talmud quotes with currency in anti-Jewish circles remained more or less constant.

“The entire phenomenon of inventing Talmudic quotes to make Jews look bad originated in the Middle Ages,” he explained. “Most often, the ‘citations’ came from embittered, resentful, or ambitious converts from Judaism to Christianity who sought to demonstrate the depth of their newfound loyalty to the Church by bad-mouthing everything they could about Jews and Judaism. A handful of them had studied Talmud enough to identify and distort various passages, and even if they couldn’t do that, they could make up libels that would stick because the haters wanted to believe the worst about Jews regardless of the evidence. That part hasn’t changed.”

“Thirty years ago, the explosion of the internet sped up the spread of these antisemitic memes,” he continued. “People who once operated in relative isolation from one another, not realizing the finite number of fake Talmud quotes, suddenly discovered that those quotes, no more than a hundred in total, seemed insufficient to the task of painting Judaism and Jewry as malignant. So the inventions began, and have picked up pace ever since. They increased exponentially one the Muslim world got involved, and the hyperbolic progression of the growth, even it slows to a mere arithmetic progression over the next ten years, means the material pulled out of Jew-haters’ anuses will exceed the actual Talmud in volume in the less than twenty-five years.”

The paper further notes that the fabricated quotes have spawned a Talmudic phenomenon in itself in which various antisemitic commentators attempt to reconcile apparent contradictions among the various fake citations.
